Safe with my Bub-up®
Wind
The shape and structure of the Bub-up® have been designed to reduce wind resistance. For aerodynamics and to avoid any parachute effect, the rear of the Bub-up® is therefore narrower than the front. The flexible frame of the Bub-up® does not deform up to a speed of 35 km/h (cycling speed). Beyond that, or in the event of sustained wind, the Bub-up® begins to flex occasionally and gradually, which allows the wind to slide over its side, thus avoiding the parachute effect again. In this case, for the Bub-up® to return to its initial shape, it is generally sufficient to lean forward. However, the Bub-up® is not intended for use in very strong or stormy winds. In terms of wind resistance, it is not felt up to 15 km/h (cycling speed). Beyond that, you gradually start to feel a certain resistance depending on the speed, which is obviously very reduced with an electric bike.
Visibility through the windshield
The large porthole-shaped windshield located at the front of the Bub-up® offers a maximum field of vision with little impairment in terms of visibility. The vast majority of users say that it is much better to watch a good downpour through the Bub-up® than to get rain directly in their eyes or glasses! As for the presence of water drops that can bead on the windshield, this is not really a problem either. However, be careful at night with car headlights when they are aimed directly at your face because they can pose a risk of glare, particularly due to a phenomenon of highlighting at the level of these water drops.
Level of protection against rain and cold
With full protection from the thighs to the head, the Bub-up® protects its user from rain and cold over more than 80% of their body surface. Regarding side protection once the bike is in motion, rain, even from the side, is mostly stopped by the windshield. Depending on the strength of the side wind, however, shoulders and arms may be more or less exposed.
Security
Safety issues were a central element in the design and development of the Bub-up®. Thus, in the event of a road accident caused by a third party or the user, the product has self-release safety buckles in its carrying system that automatically detach in the event of strong traction. Furthermore, thanks to its flexible frame and optimized shape, the Bub-up®, although attached directly to the handlebars, does not interfere with the riding of the bike. Finally, a cyclist is more visible with a Bub-up® due to the volume effect it represents once deployed, which makes them less vulnerable to other road users.

What you need to know to use the Bub-up®
Installation
The Bub-up® is compatible with all bikes, whether electric or electric. For greater comfort, however, ensure that the saddle is not positioned higher than the handlebars. However, racing bikes with road handlebars should be avoided because they require a bent or lying position that is not compatible with the use of the Bub-up®. However, the presence of a front basket on the bike does not hinder the attachment of the Bub-up®.
Adult use
The Bub-up® is not designed for use by children. It is also not recommended for use with a child seat.
Maintenance of the Bub-up®
Just like an umbrella, the Bub-up® should be left to dry unfolded after use. Simply lay it out on the ground in a clean, dry place or place it on a resting place such as a chair or small table. If you have a secure, anti-theft area, you can also dry the Bub-up® directly on your bike by placing it on your bike in parking mode. Finally, you can also simply dry the Bub-up® in a bathtub or shower.
